A year I was preparing myself for a trip of a lifetime around Europe. I cannot help but think how important that trip was for me on SO many levels. I recently spoke to my friend Chelsea from “Frenchy By Chelsea Elizabeth“, who shares the same views on travels, and agrees on how important it is to travel to new places and how it can mature you for your self-growth and cultural understanding. In this blog post, I will share the ways that travel has helped me become the person who I am today. Chelsea will also be sharing her travel stories on her blog page so you can click here to see her blog post.
From a young age I have been lucky that my parents have been be able to take me around the world to explore new countries, they have taken me to Europe, The United States, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. Being able to see these places with them and observe the cultures of these places have always given myself motivation to be able to explore the world further on my own.
Documenting and noting down my day-to-day itinerary is a great way for me to relive these memories and now being able to blog my stories online and sharing them with the world can prove to others that travelling isn’t just a thing for leisure but a learning experience that can’t be taught by reading a book or watching a video.
So I encourage you all if you cannot find a group of people to travel with but don’t want miss out on the opportunity, Just go right ahead and book it because it will be the best thing you’ve ever done!
As you will see from reading both mine and Chelsea’s stories, travel is the key to everything. We believe that travel is important because…
- You can experience different cultures, ways of life, religions, foods and histories
- You are forced to get out of your comfort zone
- It is a great way to clear your mind and start fresh
- You learn about and understand new currencies
- It is great for leisure, for adventures, meeting new people, and most of all to RELAX #treatyoself
So there you have it! Travel is so much more than just hopping on a plane, it can truly change you for the better and help you grow to become a different person.
Why do you like travelling? Was there a particular travel experience that changed your life so far? Leave a comment below as we would love to hear from you!
