Hotel Review: Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands

It’s finally 2022 and fingers cross the pandemic becomes an endemic so we can begin to get on with our lives like we did before. The last 6 months have been extremely difficult, especially trying to upload new content onto my page but luckily I was able to fit a staycation at the end of last year at the brand new Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands.

When I knew I was able to leave my house after lockdown I know I needed to get away for a weekend and stay somewhere new. With just a Google search of “new hotels in Melbourne” the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands appeared. I couldn’t believe that this was opening not long after I planned to go away. With a little read and view, I knew this was the perfect hotel to spend my weekend staycation.

When it comes to 5-star hotels in Melbourne the Marriott Hotel Docklands is the first of its kind to help visitors escape that city feeling for more of a resort trip. With its stunning interiors, dining experience featuring a range of local produce and wines, and of course the 28m rooftop infinity pool with sunbeds and cocktail bar.

The hotel features a range of room options to enhance your stay: Deluxe Guest, Superior, Premium, Guest room with M Club lounge access, and Star View Room. All rooms feature complimentary high-speed wifi, espresso pod coffee machine, Chromecast enabled flat-screen TV, and a range of views including Melbourne CBD, Yarra River & Port Phillip Bay.

For dining options you won’t be disappointed, Archer’s (located on Ground level) is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving modern Australian cuisine. For a great view of the sunset Rooftop Pool Bar (Sunset House) is the place to be with the city’s atmosphere around you, enjoy a cocktail and watch as the sun fades into the horizon. Upon arrival whilst you wait to check in enjoy Ada’s lobby bar with a range of classic cocktails and nibbles before your holiday away begins. Marriott Hotel Docklands also caters for Meetings, Events, and Weddings. With 3 event rooms and 5 breakout rooms why not consider having your event out of the busy city.

Whether it’s a small gateway or a trip to Melbourne and the surrounding regions of Victoria consider Marriott as your starting point for your next holiday.
